It was at Artissima Fair, in Turin. Giovi’s parents were walking from one gallery to another through Lingotto’s corridors, when the beauty and the originality of a young Albanian sculptor’s works caught their eyes. They stop and something really amazing happened!
Helidon Xhixha, who works in Miami, Dubai and Novara, recognized them as the “detective parents looking for a gene” .The piece on TGR Leonardo about Mitofusin 2 Project had really impressed him so he would have liked to meet Giovi to give her one of his sculptures named “Sunshine” as a gift, in the hope that it might shine in her house “just like a ray of sunshine that warms the heart, leads a smile and awakens the spirit”.
Dear Helidon, thanks for your kindness and for being so sensitive to the issue of our rare disease! The beauty , the strength and the energy of your beautiful sculptures give us more courage to fight our every day battle against the disease and run towards the cure !
